Welcome to the 2012/2013 Theatre Season...

There's nothing quite like the live theatre experience. It is immediate but far-reaching, individual yet communal, thought-provoking yet delightfully entertaining, captivating but completely liberating. Theatre is a gathering place where stories are told, a place where we can open our hearts, our minds, and our souls to what we might discover, and it is a place where we experience joyous laughter, quiet tears and thoughtful introspection.
At Gallery 7 Theatre, we endeavour to tell stories that not only entertain, but also enlighten, inspire, and challenge. Each production is lovingly and meticulously prepared, the result of collaborations between professional and recreational artists who share a passion for story-telling so that you might encounter that which lifts you out of the mundane and in to the universal.
This season, we will celebrate life in all its wondrous beauty and all its terrible anguish. We open in fall with a celebration of love between sisters and between paramours in Jane Austen's Sense & Sensibility. We follow up with a winter production of the beautiful yet haunting story about love that is lost in Mary's Wedding. We then celebrate adventure and innocent playfulness in the Canadian amateur premier of Arthur Ransome's Swallows & Amazons in spring, and then close with an exploration of truth verses deception in Larry Shue's hilarious The Foreigner in June.
Mix in the super-clean, super-funny comedy improv of Panic Squad to get things rolling in September, and a generous dose of holiday cheer with a co-presentation of Christmas Presence with our friends from Vancouver's Pacific Theatre in December and we have a season you won't want to miss.
I invite you to join us for an entertaining and thought-provoking season of live theatre that celebrates life. Save up to 30% when you purchase season passes! See you at the theatre!
