Message from the Artistic Director
Welcome to an all-new season of theatre! Here at Gallery 7 Theatre, we are dedicated to presenting stories that entertain, provoke thought and stretch boundaries. Our mission is to engage you with high quality theatre that inspires hope, reconciliation, and redemption by exploring the spiritual, relational, and social aspects of life. This coming season will be no exception. With a world premiere, a Canadian premier and a G7 first, combined with a beloved Broadway musical and two other stories sure to stir the heart, challenge the mind and elevate the soul, there’s something to satisfy every theatrical taste.
This year, our theme is ‘Heart of Community.” Community is experienced in many ways: through social engagement & participation, through family, through friendship and through romantic love. Each play in our season touches on one of these important communal experiences, exploring all the ups and downs of them in meaningful, entertaining, and provocative ways. Throughout it all, we gain better perspective on what it means to be a part of a community, and how we can make our communities better places to be.
I invite you to subscribe to our “Heart of Community” season – you save big dollars when you purchase your tickets all at once, plus you get to reserve your favourite seats in each of our venues for the entire season all at one time. Don’t know if you can make your original selected date? No worries – you can exchange your tickets to another night as many times as you need, free of charge! Most importantly, you secure your spot for a year’s worth of meaningful stories that could transform your life.
One last thought: it takes a community to keep a theatre alive and thriving: a community made up of patrons, artists, donors, sponsors, and volunteers. In 2023-2024, consider entering the heart of the G7 community by becoming a sponsor, a volunteer or by becoming a donor through the addition of a donation to your subscription. Together, we can make a difference. Together, we can bring light and hope in our community through the power of live theatre.
