    Hana Shiels

    Instructor

Hana has been training and performing in theatre for as long as she can remember. She went to an arts school growing up and is now persuing her passion by working in the film industry, preforming in local theatre and continuing to learn her craft. When she’s not playing pretend Hana is an elementary school teacher. She is always grateful for an opportunity to combine her passion for acting with her love of teaching. She is excited to be joining Gallery 7 once again as an instructor and can’t wait to start the fun.

    The on-camera fundamentals
Hitting marks, eye lines, framing, continuity, holding a sustained close-up. The technical vocabulary that separates camera acting from stage.

    A reliable audition self-tape
Slating, framing, and reading sides to camera. These are the skills you actually use to send a tape that doesn't get skipped.

    Subtlety as a muscle
