    Summer Camps: Musical Theatre (Ages 10-16)

    Our Musical Theatre Camp offers youth aged 10 to 16 the opportunity to express their creative sides and explore performing and creating their own Musical!

    Learn to perform in a musical theatre production in this two-week camp! Explore voice, choreography, staging and character development with our professional instructors, all while creating a musical revue production from scratch. Special tutorials on auditioning and other important performance-related topics will be sprinkled through-out. On the final day of the camp, campers will perform their devised musical in front of family and friends, on stage in actual performing arts venue!

    Summer Camps: Technical Theatre (Ages 14-17)

    Our Technical Theatre Camp offers youth aged 14 to 17 the opportunity to dive into all things technical theatre with this hands-on, practical camp!

    Roll up the sleeves and dive into all things technical theatre with this hands-on, practical camp! Facilitated by G7 production manager, Shannon Tauber, with contributions from expert artists in their fields, topics will include production management, stage management, set design, costume design and much more! Using a pre-selected one-act play as a foundation, participants will solve design challenges in practical ways. If you’ve ever wanted to know how a costume comes together, a set model is built, a lighting plot designed, or how a production schedule is created, this is your chance to learn!

    Summer Camps: Acting for the Camera (Ages 13-16)

    Our Acting for the Camera Camp offers youth aged 13 to 16 the opportunity to step in front of the camera and learn all about acting for the silver screen!

    Lights! Camera! ACTION! Learn an entirely new set of acting skills for performing in front of the T.V. or movie camera. Explore physical and vocal performance, as well as how to communicate your character's thoughts, emotions and objectives effectively, yet subtlety on camera. Participants will complete a short film project for their portfolio.

    Summer Camps: Dramatic Rumblings (Ages 8-10)

    Dramatic Rumblings offers children 8 to 10 the opportunity to express their creative sides in this interactive camp that uses theatre games and activities as a foundation.

    Campers will have the opportunity to express their creative sides in an interactive camp that uses theatre games as a foundation. Basic theatre skills such as blocking, characterization, movement, and line memorization will be explored along with life-skills such as cooperation, teamwork and focus. Participants will learn and perform a short script for their fellow campers.

    Summer Camps: Stage Eruptions (Ages 11-13)

    Stage Eruptions offers children 11 to 13 the opportunity to express their creative sides in this interactive camp that uses theatre games and activities to build upon existing performance skills

    Campers will have the opportunity to explore and evaluate their world through the dramatic arts. Theatre games and activities will be utilized to build upon existing performance skills while providing opportunities to explore and deepen their understanding of the theatre arts. Campers will learn and perform a short script for their fellow campers.

    What should my child bring?

    Comfortable clothes for movement, packed lunch, water bottle, and enthusiasm!

    Do you offer before/after care?

    Drop-off is available up to 10 minutes before camp starts, and pick-up within 10 minutes after camp ends.

    Do you offer full day camps?

    Our Musical Theatre camp is a full day camp. You can also register your camper for either our Dramatic Rumblings or Stage Eruptions camp, then the performance intensive in the afternoon to make a day camp! The same can be done with our Technical theatre and Acting for the Camera Camp!

    What if my child has never done theatre before?

    Perfect! Our camps are designed for all experience levels. Beginners welcome!

    What is your cancellation policy?

    Cancellations up to one week before camp receive a refund minus a $25 administrative fee. After that, refunds are only offered for health or family emergencies.

    Registration Policies

    • Please complete a separate form for each camper you are registering.
    • Full payment is due at registration. Cancellations will be refunded, minus a $25 administrative fee, up until one week prior to the camp start date.
    • No refunds will be provided after the cancellation deadline has passed except in circumstances involving a health or family emergency.
    • Transfers from one camp to another can be accommodated up to the Friday prior to the start of the original camp. A $25 charge will be applied for each camp transfer.
    • Payment by phone or online is by credit card. Payment in person is by cheque or cash. Please make cheques out to Gallery 7 Theatre.

    Camper Conduct Policies

    • Campers are expected to respect their fellow campers and camp leaders at all times, and to follow their camp leader's instructions at all times.
    • Gallery 7 Theatre recognizes that campers will have varying levels of experience and ability. Campers are requested to participate in all camp activities with enthusiasm and a willingness to try new things.
    • Consistent behavioural challenges may result in sending a camper home prior to the end of the camp. No refunds are provided under these circumstances.
    • Safety is our primary concern. Please sign your camper in at the beginning of the camp each day, and please sign your camper out at the end of the day.
    • If you are not able to sign your camper out at the end of the day, please inform our staff in advance or at sign-in who the designated pick-up person will be.
    • Drop off time is not longer than 10 minutes prior to the start of camp each day and pick-up time is not later than 10 minutes after the end of the camp each day.
    • Gallery 7 Theatre & Performing Arts Society is not responsible for campers who are present before the designated drop-off time and/or after the pick-up time.
